Over the years The Oelofse Family has dedicated their lives to Conservation. Annette Oelofse has raised many Rhino orphans successfully - to be reintroduced back into Nature once they are ready to be part of their own.
"Yandja" means gift in Kwanyama (a local Namibian language), he was brought to us in October 2015, already a 4 month old baby, in desperate need of nutrition and comfort.
Yandja and roams an extensive area during the day with their care-taker Tjingi, no other human contact is encouraged due to the fact that we want these rhino to be part of their own specie, and not humanized, which eventually makes it easier for them to integrate back into nature, where they belong.
It takes Decades of Experience, Dedication and a love for Wildlife, to be able to raise these animals - and to let them become one with their own again, and the Oelofse Family together with their support staff work without failure to achieve this dream.
